Why do the Beach Boys say "WALK" a thunderbird in their song "Little Deuce Coupe"?

OK....let's see if I can make the question crystal clear. This mystery has been baffling listeners for nearly 50 years. I just saw essentially the same question on this site, with the usuall answer, which is no answer at all. I don't need to be told that a Thunderbird is a car. Or that the deuce is the faster car. The perplexing thing is the word "WALK". How can "walk" mean "beat", or "defeat", or "kick butt", or anything that makes sense?? I'm sure that only an actuall member of the Beach Boys could resolve this, so unless one of them happens to see this, the dillema will continue. I just wanted to make sure the question was understood.
