Is this a good physics college plan?
I am going to be a senior in high school this upcoming school year. I am leaning toward majoring in physics in college. I would like to work with fiber optics, so would this be the best undergrad major for me to pursue? I know it will be tough, but i really enjoy physics and math. What are some good physics schools that might specialize in optics? Is it common to get an undergrad degree in physics and go to grad school for a more specialized training in optics? Also, by the time I graduate will there be a good amount of job openings dealing with fiber optics? Also, my college of choice right now would be penn state because I live in pennsylvania, and it seems like a great school.
